Vancouver Public Schools strives to provide learning experiences to empower our students to work together, evaluate ideas and become creative learners. In 2013, at the direction of the community, VPS asked voters to approve a technology levy that would provide students with digital learning tools, such as iPads or laptop computers and environments to equip them with the skills for careers of the future.
As a result of the approved levy, the district began a one-to-one program that gives an iPad or laptop computer, also known as a digital device, to students in third through 12th grades. The iPad or laptop allows anytime, anywhere access to learning. In addition to providing an iPad or laptop computer to students for learning, VPS instructs young people how to be safe and responsible using these digital devices.
Please take a few minutes to answer a short four-question survey about the one-to-one program, which provides students in third through 12th grades with an iPad or laptop computer. The survey closes on Tuesday, Nov. 21. Your responses will help us as we plan for the future.
Thank you for your time.
