Common fines and fees

The fees listed below are some of the most common; however, students may be liable for other items that are lost, stolen or destroyed.

Please note that fines will be assessed for all unpaid fees. Per district policy, lost item(s) need to be returned or fines must be paid before a student can receive his or her diploma and/or transcript. Athletes and students participating in extracurricular activities will be ineligible to compete in their sport(s) or participate in their activities until all ASB related fees and fines are cleared.

  • Band instrument book: $9 ($13 for Percussion)
    The Sound Innovations books 1 (beginning) and 2 (intermediate and concert) are available for purchase during a pre-sale at the beginning of each school year. These books are required for band. They may be purchased at the business office or a local music store.
  • Orchestra instrument book: $11
    The Essential Elements of Orchestra Book 1 is available for purchase during a pre-sale at the beginning of each school year. These books are required for orchestra (beginning students only). They may be purchased at the business office or a local music store.
  • Reeds: $3-$5 each
    Clarinet ($3), alto saxophone ($4) and tenor saxophone ($5) reeds are available for purchase in the business office or at a local music store. Students are required to purchase their own reeds for band.
  • Rosin: $4-$10 each
    Double bass ($10), violin ($4), viola ($4) and cello ($4) rosin are available for purchase in the business office or at a local music store. Students are required to purchase their own rosin for 0rchestra.
  • Damaged or lost instruments or equipment: Cost varies
  • iPad brick replacement: $13
  • iPad cord replacement: $13
  • Earbuds for testing: $1
  • iPad case replacement or damaged: $22
  • iPad not returned: $350
  • iPad cracked screen repair: $40 after the second cracked screen – more if the repair is extensive
  • iPad lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair: $99 (A Police Report is required to reduce the fine amount from $350 to $99 for lost or stolen iPads)
  • WiFi Hot Spot Device lost, stolen, damaged beyond repair or not returned: $75-$145 (depending on the device)
  • iPad repair due to negligence: Cost varies – $40-$350
  • ASB card: $10
    Students who participate in extracurricular activities, including sports, certain bands, choir, orchestra, theater, Math Club and/or leadership activities, should purchase an ASB card. One card is good for the entire school year. ASB cards may be paid online or in the business office.
  • ASB card replacement: $3
  • Yearbook: $25
    Yearbooks are sold only via pre-sales, with limited exceptions for students who enroll in school after pre-sales have ended. Yearbooks may be purchased online and in the business office before the end of pre-sales. They will be available to purchase in the business office on a first-come, first-served basis if there are any remaining books at the end of the school year.
  • Sports fee: $20
    Every student who participates in a sport must pay a sports fee. The funds are used to help defray the cost of equipment, cleaning/repair/replacement of uniforms, transportation, officials and other expenses. You may pay the fee online or in the business office.
  • Sports fee for students receiving free or reduced-price lunch: $10
    Consent to verify the student’s free or reduced-price lunch status is required. This fee may be paid only in the business office.
  • Mouth guard: $1
    Mouth guards are required equipment for tackle football, flag football and wrestling* (*if you wear braces or mouth gear). They are highly encouraged for all other sports. You may purchase a mouth guard at your local sports store or in the business office.
  • Athletic uniforms that are not returned: Cost varies
  • Students who participate in sports also should purchase an ASB card.
  • Activity fee: $20
    All students who participate in extracurricular activities, including certain bands, choir, orchestra, theater, Math Club and leadership events, must pay an activity fee. These funds help defray the cost of equipment, transportation, custodians and other expenses. Activity fees may be paid online or in the business office.
  • Activity fee for students receiving free or reduced-price lunch: $10

  • Student Planner Replacement: $2
  • PE Lock Replacement: $7
  • ID Card Replacement (w/out ASB): $3
  • Library Books, Text or School equipment lost or damaged: $ Varies
