Reducing class sizes is part of a larger goal to overhaul aging, crowded schools that no longer meet today’s teaching and learning needs. A grant from the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction is funding part of the class-size reductions. If approved by the district’s board of directors, a bond measure may go before local voters to pay for further reductions, upgrades and construction projects.
